• Course & Batch Management: Two-level course categories, course catalog with slugs and thumbnails, and per-course batches with schedules, class days/times, pricing, and independent instructor assignment.
• Student Enrollment Workflow: Students self-enroll into a batch; enrollment status moves through pending → active/rejected/cancelled as payments are confirmed.
• Manual Payment & Ledger System: Students submit mobile-banking transactions (Bkash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay) with sender number and transaction ID; admins verify, record partial/full payments, or record cash payments directly, with automatic fee/paid/due calculation per student and per batch.
• Online Exam Engine: Admin-authored exams per batch with single-choice, multiple-choice, true/false, and free-text questions, per-question images, shuffleable questions/options, pass marks, and a student exclusion list.
• Automatic & Manual Grading: MCQ and true/false answers are auto-graded on submission; free-text answers are queued for manual admin review before results are released to students.
• Resource Library: Nested folder structure per batch for sharing files (images, PDFs, text) with enrolled students, including automatic PDF compression/linearization on upload.
• Batch Notice Board: Private rich-text notice board per batch (class links, schedules, updates) visible only to admins and actively enrolled students.
• Role-Based Access: Student and admin roles enforced by database-backed session checks (not trusted from the JWT payload), with account activation/deactivation support.
• Real-Time Notifications: Socket.IO powered notification bell for payment confirmations, exam updates, and other account events, delivered live to the recipient's session.
• Instructor & Testimonial Management: Admin-managed instructor profiles and student review/testimonial content surfaced on the public marketing site.
• Admin Dashboard & Reporting: Stats overview (students, courses, active enrollments, revenue) plus dedicated management screens for students, enrollments, payments, exams, resources, and reviews.
• Public Marketing Site: Course catalog, course detail pages, instructor listing, testimonials, and registration/sign-in flows built with Next.js App Router.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture: Designed the complete platform architecture covering the Next.js frontend, Express backend, MongoDB data model, authentication, and business workflows.
• Backend Development: Built around 70 RESTful API endpoints using Node.js and Express 5 across courses, batches, enrollments, payments, exams, resources, users, and notifications.
• Database Design: Designed 13 core MongoDB collections with Mongoose, including compound/unique indexes (e.g. one enrollment per student per batch, one exam attempt per student) for data integrity.
• Payment Workflow: Implemented the manual mobile-banking payment flow — submission, admin verification, partial-payment tracking, and fee/paid/due reconciliation logic shared across student and admin views.
• Exam Engine: Built the exam authoring model (embedded questions, shuffle, pass marks, roster exclusions), the student submission flow, and the auto-grade/manual-review scoring pipeline.
• Resource Management: Implemented the nested folder/file resource system with upload handling and server-side PDF optimization via Ghostscript.
• Authentication & Security: Implemented JWT-based auth via httpOnly cookies, with every request re-validated against the live database record rather than trusting token claims.
• Real-Time Features: Integrated Socket.IO for per-user notification delivery over authenticated socket connections.
• Frontend Development: Built responsive admin and student dashboards, forms, data tables, and the public marketing site using React 19, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and TanStack Query.
